We were drawn to the local nonprofit, GirlForward, as Chicago is in the center of a migrant crisis. We want to be welcoming to all and help refugees. We believed their site was inactive, but when looking through their social media pages, that was not the case. We wanted to give a refresh to the look, and draw in users to donate or get involved.

There are fun features like "Dirty Dice" to help decide what task to tackle, along with the opportunity to earn badges for your trophy case. A clean space helps users obtain a less stressful, and healthy home life.

View Full Case StudyPrior to studying UI/UX in 2022, I was a prepress graphic designer for 9 years at Crystal Clear Imaging. CCI is a large format printing, design, fabrication, and installation company in New Orleans that has a wide array of clients. We offered design services or we would receive the art, but one thing they all had in common was that they needed to be produced to the best quality and fit the space perfectly. I loved being analytical and using both sides of my brain regardless of the project. I became the go-to person for large, elaborate projects.
The first step in an elaborate project, I would receive a site survey with measurements of a space. I would create a scaled diagram in Illustrator or Photoshop, depending on the design or final print needs, including all walls. I indicate placement of doors, along with obstructions, such as light switches, outlets, vents, etc. Then I would have a template and clean slate to begin designing.
When I would complete a design, I would present the art on the template and also sometimes create a mockup in Photoshop for proofing to the client. Upon client approval, I would have to tap back into my right brain thinking, to crop, break out and label all elements appropriately for production and guide installs.
Our aim was to bring spaces to life! Below is my a collection of designed interior spaces for various clients in offices, restaurants, and athletic departments. When working with brands like the New Orleans Saints or Crown Royal, it was of utmost importance to respect and abide by not only brand standards, but also ensure color matching.

I was the representative and lead designer for all new location openings for about 5 years. I was in charge of designing the main wall which features a collage of athletes and fans, along with supplementing walls and other elements needed per location. I have completed over 20 locations. Below are some of the main walls that I designed.

The best part of the job was building scaled templates! When there were building wraps I got excited–the larger the project, the better, in my opinion! In order for things to go smoothly, you have to map out the building first, knowing exact window placement. This is because you have to separate Perf for windows and Decal for the building material.
Some of these projects I did not do the design, but I ensured that it would fit perfectly on the side of the building. It is also very important to give diagrams and label areas for production and installers, so everything can go smoothly.

I assisted on the rebranding project for the roof of the Caesar's Superdome. I mapped out and supplied the painters with large banners to use as stencils. Each colored rectangle represents a banner that we printed the outline of the logo and a grid.

The challenging part about vehicles is that it is usually not a flat surface, and it has many obstructions. I would always pay close attention to where text and important items in the design would land, moving things around to ensure the best placement. You also must pay attention to how the rear panel will line up with the side panels.

Spacing and consistency is key whenever you plan for repeating logos. In both of the instances, I like to lay out all of the walls consecutively around the whole stadium for the client and myself to get an overall vision. The viewing distance is most likely far away, so readability is very important. Finally, it is helpful for install to have detailed diagrams so banners don't get swapped, resulting in a headache, misalignment and wasted time.

I volunteered my time to the Tampa Bay Krewe Women's Rugby Club. I was elected by teammates to be the Secretary of the club for two seasons. I was in charge of managing social media, taking notes during meetings and working with Board members to make decisions for the team.
When I took over their Instagram in May of 2019, there were only 623 followers. After a little over a year, we reached a goal of mine, eclipsing 1,000 followers! This is a collection of some of the posts that I designed.
